Personality:
Mizuki when we meet her has already led a troubled life. By age 12, she has already been the subject of inhumane genetic experimentation so severe that she blocked out all memory of it, leaving only her superhuman strength. After being adopted by the Okiuras, she suffers both verbal and physical abuse from her mother, Shoko, who was unprepared and had little knowledge of how to be a mother; and Renju, her father, was too busy to help.
Despite this, Mizuki sought approval and affection of both, and became particularly attached to Renju. She appears meek to start and completely shuts down in the face of her mother's murder and the trauma that followed, which renders completely unable to speak for a time until Date navigates her dreams in a specific way using Psync. Once she does start to speak, however, she reveals her brash, headstrong nature.
She comes off as a bit of a brat. Though she hugs Date in this route and appears grateful to him, she later denies that it meant anything. She appears fearful of appearing weak, most likely because she fears that it opens her up to more bullying.
She is rebellious, going so far as to sneak into Date's car to be involved with the investigation into her mother's murder, despite the insistence that she stay in the hospital; and she is fearless, even in the face of yakuza and dangerous people that should rightly terrify her. Learning of her superhuman strength after years of suffering abuse, simply because she thought she had to, has only cemented this about her.
At age 18, Mizuki retains many of her qualities that she had when she was 12. She is still fearless, and if anything, learning where her superhuman strength came from and the torment Bibi had to endure to protect her at Horadori Institute has only strengthened her desire to protect others, especially those who can't protect themselves. It follows then that she joins the ABIS sect of the MPD and is eager to investigate the HB serial killings, despite being shot at by a masked assailant (Bibi) specifically to discourage her.
Mizuki is less bratty at 18, but maintains a fiery, confident personality that is balanced by Aiba as her partner. She takes her job as a police officer seriously and is levelheaded when it counts, but she still has a playful side and she is not afraid to tease her friends. Using Ota as an example, she makes fun of his hair cut, saying that it annoys her, and also refuses to give him a discount at Sunfish Pocket, despite inheriting the company that owns it from her father (Lemniscate). Date also continues to get the brunt of this, though despite her continued distaste for his pervert behavior, Mizuki herself seems to let inappropriate comments slip on occasion, suggesting that he is rubbing off on her.
Despite how difficult she can be, Mizuki still shows that she seeks connection with others in her own way. By the second game, she even displays a desire to get a boyfriend, and while she clearly doesn't think this will ever be (she's surrounded by "pushy basic bros"), this desire for connection will always be there wherever she goes.
Abilities:
- Mizuki has superhuman strength. At the age of 12, she was shown to be able to knock down an entire tree with no equipment or help. The force of her swings, kicks, and punches creates a powerful wind that appears to knock anyone in her vicinity back, which helps her when she's outnumbered. She's shown to be able to jump extremely high as well, which basically means she can defy gravity to an extent, and she can also run really, really fast when there's a lot of open space (aka, the stadium in the end).
- She's handy with her metal pipe, using it to incapacitate even those who are more heavily armed than her.
- Worth mentioning is that even though she is inexperienced, she's an investigator with the MPD at a young age, so she would have some budding observational skills, though they would suffer without the help of her AI-ball, Aiba.
- Speaking of which, without Aiba, she's also unable to wink psync (glimpse into a subject's dreams), but if one ever apps, I'll have to revisit this.so never

- Will her superhuman strength be diluted in any specific way in terms of what she will or will not be able to do? She's still very much human and able to die & take damage; I skirted around this in the TDM, but I figure I'd ask to be safe.
- I didn't specify the types of rounds that her Evolver (gun) would be carrying, but if there are any specific ones you want to choose for her from the page, or any that you do NOT want her to have, let me know! Otherwise, winging it.
